Walt Eger was raised on a family farm in upstate New York. He began learning mechanics from his father when he was 10 years old. He became a full-time mechanic in 1965, working at various repair shops and learning his trade. He quickly developed a following of loyal customers because of his exceptional skill and because customers sensed his honesty and integrity.
Many customers have been bringing their cars to Walt Eger for more than 30 years -- longer than he has had his own business.

Walt Eger's Service Center opened in 1987 and has grown into one of Maryland's top independent
repair facilities. Today our shop on Grimm Road, in Severn, is 8,000 square feet with 15 service
bays and state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment. We hire only ASE-certified technicians.
Our staff includes three ASE master-certified technicians. All technicians are provided with the most up-to-date training, qualifying them to service almost all foreign and domestic cars and trucks.
